While reading the San Francisco Chronicle (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2006/08/22/MNGRNKMQTR1.DTL&hw=Building+Inspector&sn=001&sc=1000) last night, there was a story about how a Building Inspector was able to buy a piece of property that had been subject to their investigation because it was determined that the previous owners were conducting remodeling work without permits.
I guess it pays to have some insider information on the real estate market.
This also begs the question, have any of the Lakewood Building Inspectors ever done this as well?
Also here in San Francisco, there is another item that is before the City Council that had me wondering, how our esteemed members of our City Legislative body would handle it. http://www.examiner.com/a-234612~Strip_club_workers_tell_City_Hall__let_us_remain_private_dancers_.html
Just a few more days here on the Left Coast before I return to the North Coast!
